These difficulties often result in underemployment, housing affordability issues, and social isolation.
Potential Solution:
- App for Good, an innovative app that matches skilled and experienced candidates from underrepresented communities with job vacancies that align with their qualifications. This app would leverage advanced algorithms to connect employers with diverse talent pools, helping to address job disparity and promote equal opportunities for new immigrants.
- Integrated Settlement Program, a holistic approach that combines various initiatives to enhance the settlement experience for new immigrants. This program would focus on facilitating access to affordable housing options, ensuring access to essential services such as healthcare and language support, and promoting cultural integration through community engagement activities.
